Our Cryotherapy Roll-ons

Niuk roll-ons are -18°C local cryotherapy devices that combine 3 actions in 1: controlled cold, mechanical massage, and targeted serum application. They promote recovery and decongestion, and have already been adopted by athletes and healthcare professionals.

A cold therapy solution

Cold soothes, massage relaxes, and serum prolongs the effect. Niuk roll-ons combine these three actions in one simple gesture, applicable to a specific area in just a few seconds.

Cold massage followed by the serum

The medical-grade stainless steel ball conducts cold and, as it rolls over the skin, provides a precise massage. An internal reservoir calibrated to -18°C supplies it throughout the application. Depending on the version, a serum is dispensed as the ball rolls.

A documented cryostimulation technology

An observational study conducted in physiotherapy clinics on 170 patients reported encouraging results regarding pain, mobility, and inflammatory signs. Niuk is now a Class I medical device, with 11 patents filed since 2023.

Frequently asked questions about our cryotherapy roll-ons

What is local cryotherapy?

It is the application of intense but controlled cold to a specific area of the body. Unlike a cryotherapy chamber or a cold bath, it acts precisely on the treated area. Niuk roll-ons deliver this cold via a metal ball that rolls over the skin, supplied by an internal cold reservoir.

Which ball diameter should I choose?

The Niuk Body Pro, with a 35 mm ball, covers large areas: back, lower back, shoulders, thighs, calves.

The NiukSport, with a 30 mm ball, supports preparation and recovery in the field: grip adapted to physical exertion, cooling cap, use on strained muscles.

The Niuk Essentiel, with a 25 mm ball, works on medium and targeted areas, such as the cervical spine or joints.

The Niuk Précision, with a 16 mm ball, is used on fine and delicate areas: eye contours, face, precise points.

What temperature should a cryotherapy device be?

Niuk roll-ons work at -18°C, the temperature of a standard home freezer. The PCM in the reservoir is calibrated to capture this cold and release it gradually to the ball. No special equipment is therefore necessary: simply place the roll-on in the freezer. The cold produced is intense yet controlled.

How many times a day should I use a cooling roll-on?

Cold causes vasoconstriction followed by reflex vasodilation. The rolling massage adds mechanical stimulation of the tissues. Both act simultaneously, in a single motion, and the serum is diffused as the roller passes over.

What is the difference between a cooling roll-on and an ice pack?

An ice pack stays stationary on the skin and loses its cold in a few minutes. The Niuk roll-on combines two actions: the stainless steel ball conducts cold and, as it rolls, provides a mechanical massage. Its PCM reservoir continues to supply the ball with cold throughout use, whereas a classic metal roller warms up quickly.
